Space Table Symphony: The Music Leaves Orbit

Back in April, we wrote about a piece of music that seemed to forget gravity — the Space Table Symphony: David Garrett with Bernd Breiter and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony. Not quite classical, not quite electronic. Something suspended. Something you don’t so much listen to as float inside.

This June, you won’t have to explain a thing. You’ll just have to be in the room.

On 27 June 2026, in front of 15,000 people, the Space Table Symphony leaves the studio and lands on a stage — David Garrett carrying it live as Smart Rebels goes Greator Festival, the grand finale of Bernd Breiter’s Smart Rebel movement at the LANXESS arena in Cologne.

And it doesn’t go up alone. Breiter — the mind behind BigCityBeats, World Club Dome and the first club ever to play aboard the ISS — takes his place at the piano. And then comes the detail that gave us goosebumps:

A symphony about weightlessness, played a breath away from a man who has truly floated above the Earth.

Because beside them stands Matthias Maurer — the ESA astronaut who spent six months on the International Space Station, on the mission he named Cosmic Kiss. The music that refused to stay grounded, finally meeting someone who left the ground entirely.

That is what turns this from a concert into a moment.

The festival is sold out. But a night like this never stays sealed inside one arena — and when the first echoes reach us, you’ll find them here. For now, just know: the symphony is coming home to a stage. And this time, it has witnesses.
